A Global Arena of 49+ Competing Nations
The Country Cup was designed to bring the atmosphere of the World Cup to Backgammon. When you win an online match, you do not just increase your personal ELO; you directly contribute to your nation’s victory tally.
As of October 2026, nations like Iran, Germany, the United States, Romania, Turkey, and Japan have emerged as dominant powerhouses with thousands of accumulated victories.
The Role of the Country Captain
The player with the highest verified ELO rating representing a nation is automatically elevated to the prestigious title of Country Captain.
Captains are showcased in the Country Cup standings alongside their custom avatars and victory stats, providing a figurehead that inspires teammates to push their ratings higher.
